The State, formerly known as the "Badger State" has clearly earned it's new nickname: the "Battleground State".
The original inhabitants referred to it as "stream of red stone", after the Wisconsin River. (You gotta â„ïž that red reference). đ
The "badger" tag came from the early miners who found shelter in the holes they had dug. But whatever you call those folks up North, it's ok by me as long as it reflects their spirit and attention to preservation of one of our country's most cherished right - VOTING!

âłïž SINCE THEN, on April 2, 2024, 10:11 PM it was announced that Wisconsin voters agreed by public vote to amend the State Constitution, outlawing private money. This Constitutional ballot initiative took the authority out of the hands of the Legislature AND blocked the Governor's veto power.
âŠïž Something that disorganized Limelighters in some states ought to seek instead of non-binding petition drives or unenforceable "feel-good" resolutions, along with their shallow lawsuits that lack any substantive evidence.
> Wisconsin has spoken and the message is clear: "Elections belong to voters, not out-of-state billionaires,â said state GOP Chairman Brian Schimming in a statement.
> By adopting the amendments, âvoters sent a clear message that they want to keep private money out of election administration,â said Rick Esenberg, president of the conservative Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty."
âAccording to data from the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA), Wisconsin is the 28th state to ban the use of private funds in elections. Those states include battlegrounds like Georgia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Arizona, among others.....
